First, and formost, we would like to welcome you to Falima Farm and share our beautiful miniature horses with you. We hope you will enjoy our site and see why we cherish each and everyone of our treasured minis.
I have been raising, breeding and showing all of my life. I started with the wonderfully elegant Straight Egyptian Blue List Arabians and continued on with them as a line and inbreeder under a preservation breeder of certain desert bred strains for over 20 years. Thus preserving the stains for generations to come. After some health issues and other circumstances, I was forced to give up my beloved Arabians.
Then after a few years of not having horses my addiction to the equine led me to the miniature horse in 1998 and I was hooked. After recieving my first AMHR Journal and seeing a picture of a horse by the name of Gold Melody Boy's Gold King, I knew there were Arabians in the miniature horse. And the beautiful color that they came in truely got me hooked on the palominos as Arabians don't carry a creme gene. So with that in mind I was determined to have Gold Melody Boy bred horses as my very own and be able to help preserve this line of the miniature horse. Why not, this is what I do best and the rest is history. We have put together a fine herd of Gold Melody bloodlines with individuals bred by the Johnstons and Wittmaacks that no other herd carries. And it will be interesting to see how the lines develope. We also have other lines that go back to the grandsire of Gold Melody, Realization, thru individuals like Hash's Golden Comet and My Golden Toy. Add a dash of Boones Little Buckeroo, a Gold Melody Boy grandson, and the possiabilities are unlimited. So if you are looking for Gold Melody Boy bloodlines, the icon of Arabian characteristics in minis, you have come to the right place. It is definately a tried and true bloodline that needs to be preserved so future generations can enjoy this wonderful, amazingly beautiful, correct miniature horse.
Here in Wisconsin we have about two months of summer and the rest is winter. As much as the minis are our pets, we allow them to be horses too. We don't do alot of clipping and greasing of our horses as we prefer them in their natural state for warmth and bug control. They also are beautiful in a more natural state as are their cousins, the Arabian. We are glad to have you be part of our journey in doing so. Again, WELCOME to FALIMA FARM. Enjoy!!
